It’s taken us a while, but here’s the latest on Transgress Magazine.
First, though we haven’t been very active on TransgressMagazine.com, our sister site, Ensuing Chapters, has been quite ambitious. As part of our 31 Days of Dread series, each day we’re posting a book review/discussion on an unsettling piece of writing, featuring both the expected (Joyce Carol Oates, H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King) and the unexpected (Jose Saramago, Michael Chabon, Fyodor Dostoyevsky).
While we prepare our next issue/update, here’s a little of what Transgress has been up to. We’ve attended the New Yorker Festival, the Edward R. Murrow Awards ceremony and the gala celebration honoring National Public Radio’s Car Talk and the awarding of the Daniel Schorr Prize, presented annually to the best young journalist in radio.
This year’s winner was none other than Transgress contributor (and public radio rock star) Grace Hood!
More later. For now, enjoy these photos from the award ceremony in Boston:
